Music & Performing Arts
Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts fills the calendar with music and performance year-round. Catch acclaimed touring and regional artists at our Great Hall Series, then head outdoors for Summer Soundwaves concerts under the summer sky. THELMA Thursdays bring casual, recurring live music, while Lighthouse Big Band nights swing with classic jazz. Young singers shine in our Children's Chorale, and our partnerships with community theater companies bring favorite plays and musicals to life on stage. There's always something playing at THELMA.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga focuses on holding passive poses for extended periods, promoting relaxation and reducing stress by engaging the parasympathetic nervous system.
Duration: 45 minutes

Lighthouse Big Band
The Lighthouse Big Band, a 20+ year mainstay in the music scene, is now also honored to be a resident ensemble at THELMA. A WAMI nominee for Best Big Band, the band plays a variety of genres in the big band style. The Lighthouse Big Band performs music including traditional big bands/dance bands of the 30’s and 40’s, the music of Count Basie and Duke Ellington, Latin Jazz, contemporary big bands like Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, as well as big band versions of rock/fusion music.
There is no cost or need for a ticket to attend, just come on up to the Fountain City room and enjoy the music!
