Holding Multitudes

We see our artmaking practices as dissecting systems to forge connections with the people and environments around us. Through research, reflection, and tactile making, we treat our studio practice as a laboratory- a place to critique that world while also working to heal and nurture it.

Working across a wide range of mediums, we explore ideas that extend beyond technique and material. Our work touches on domestic labor, ritual, ecology, memory, vulnerability, and perseverance. While each artist here approaches these subjects differently, connections emerge through the ways they collect, repeat, transform, repair, and tend to materials.

Fragility and humor come together in Tanya Gill's work, creating a connection to Lois Bielefeld's exploration of absurd labor. Tulika Ladsariya, Vanessa Filley, and Marzena Ziejka each work through accumulation, creating ethereal objects and layered records of obsessive collecting.
