About The Event
This month's Art History Happy Hour presents the through line of science fiction and fantasy illustration from the pulp magazines of the 1920s through the card art of Magic: The Gathering and the monster design of modern Dungeons and Dragons. It follows that history and introduces the artists central to it, covering the artistic movements and styles as well as the commercial forces that shaped how imagined worlds came to look the way they do.
