Rehearsal cancellation on Dec. 2 and important information leading up to the Winter Concert

An Important Message from David Hein:

Dear singers and parents,

We will not be meeting for rehearsal on Monday, Dec. 2nd. For some time I have known about an out-of-town commitment — I have been asked to take part in a special musical celebration at one of the prior posts I held, a congregation I served in Arizona. I have suspected that we would be able to skip this rehearsal if preparations were far enough along; but I delayed announcing this in the event that we *couldn’t* skip the rehearsal and I needed to devise an alternative. We’re in pretty decent shape! So we will take that night off. I’ll see you all Monday, Dec. 9 for the first of our two dress rehearsals. We supply performance ties. Families supply black pants, socks, shoes; and a white shirt that will support tying a tie for boys, and the snap-on style ties we use for the girls. For families new to chorale, I believe that for the girls shirt-solution, folks have sometimes discovered that the better approach to locating a white performance shirt is to visit the boys department. Collars on boys shirts tend to carry the ties better. Let us know if you have questions! Reply to Michael or post to the blog (ideal, so everyone can see and benefit from questions!)

A couple of other items:

The final dress rehearsal for everyone will be on Saturday, December 14 from 10 am to noon.

Call time for the Winter Concert will be at 1:45 on Sunday, December 15 with the concert beginning at 3 pm.

We will once again be hosting a reception in the gallery after the Winter Concert. As in past years we are putting a call out for cookies. If you are interested in donating some baked goods, please contact me at michael@thelmaarts.org and let me know what you will be bringing so I can be certain we have enough table space set up.
