July 20, 2019 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
They are so smart it’s scary, and more than half of the U.S. population owns one. But just because a smartphone can take photos, doesn’t mean those photos are very good.
Join internationally recognized Mobile Artist Dale Van Minsel as he offers tips, advice and apps to use to create photographic masterpieces using just your smartphone. In Dale’s class you will enlarge your smartphone photography tool kit, expand your creative shooting and image processing capabilities and experiment with a collection of easily downloadable apps. You will learn easy editing steps and be introduced to key features of each app learning ways to turn your photos into unique and artistic images. There is no need for a computer for this class, all you need is a smartphone.
About the Instructor:
Dale Van Minsel was born in Wisconsin and currently reside in Southeastern Wisconsin.
He has worked with the art and craft of photography since 1978, having served as event and public relations photographer for two colleges as well as providing photography classes and workshops both locally and statewide over the course of his professional career.
His fine art work involves creating unique images mostly using the iPhone and photo apps. He has always enjoyed creating images depicting “altered landscapes” and “possible dimensions” using whatever medium was available at the time but iPhoneography and photo apps really allow me to create unique images without cost or equipment limitations.

The class is open to students of all artistic levels. All basic materials provided. Feel free to bring your own materials if you so choose. Adults only. Instructor lead.
