2019 Spring Concert Information

SCHEDULE for Spring 2019

  • April 28/Sunday see below, additional performance opportunity
    • Call time: 1:15pm / Concert time: 2 pm / location: Marian University (see further information below); formal concert attire
  • April 29/Monday — 5:30-7:30, Technical Rehearsal (Massed) — there will be a snack at this rehearsal
  • May 4/Saturday — 10am-noon, Dress Rehearsal (Massed), wear formal concert attire to this rehearsal (white shirts, black pants/socks/shoes) — there will be a snack at this rehearsal
  • May 5/Sunday SPRING CONCERT, call time: 1:30pm / concert time: 3pm (note: this was incorrectly listed in the calendar as 2 & 4 pm)
  • May 6/Monday — 5:30-6:15pm, Bring-a-Friend-to-Choir night. This has been a great way for us to bring new members to the organization! Bring one or more friends! We will also work on the National Anthem for the Dock Spiders Game.

ADDITIONAL REHEARSALS (catch up from the canceled rehearsals)

This semester has seen numerous interruptions to the rehearsal/learning process, including weather, sickness, my own professional obligations away from FCC, and others. I had indicated awhile back that make-up rehearsals would be possible. We are offering and encouraging the option. See the link below for an online signup for 30-minute rehearsal slots. There are four to choose from for each of two choirs. You are welcome to attend more than one.

ADDITIONAL PERFORMANCE THIS SPRING: Marian University

An opportunity has emerged to include the FCC in the Marian Chamber Singers concert this spring. This gives the children the chance to perform some of the repertoire an additional time this spring.

  • Date: Sunday, April 28
  • Call time: 1:15pm // Concert time: 2-3pm
  • Location: Dorcas Chapel, Marian University, 45 S. National Ave. The chapel is on the corner of Division St. and National Ave. Parking is available in any university lot (without penalty on weekends), or street parking nearby.

3rd-5th Grade Choir, at the Marian concert, will sing

  • Hey, Ho, Hey Nonnie No

6th-8th Grade Choir, at the Marian concert, will sing

  • Double, Double, Toil and Trouble
  • I Feel a Change is Comin’

Combined FCC Choirs and Marian Chamber Singers in Massed Chorus

  • Gift to be Simple

Songs sponsorship rate for one choir is $60; and for both choirs $120

SNACKS FOR EXTENDED TECH AND DRESS REHEARSALS (these are 2 hour rehearsals) are being coordinated by Nichole Ruzniacek and Liz Disper a separate email message has been sent soliciting your help with snacks.
